MARIA SCHULZ is
a wife, mother, and author of Tales From A Hungry Life: A Memoir With
Recipes, as well as the blog of the same name. She has been writing
stories since she was eight years old and decided to turn an English class
assignment about Alaska into the story of Lola the Eskimo, her sled dog, and
their quest for food. These days, Maria lives in New York with her husband, two
